Gov. Scott, legislators present reforms to jumpstart housing development

Gov. Phil Scott introduced a major housing initiative Wednesday in conjunction with a tri-partisan group of legislators.

“This session, with a broad support you see today, I'm more confident than ever we can put politics aside and do what the vast majority of Vermonters know needs to get done to create and restore the housing we so desperately need right now,” Scott said, during his weekly news conference.

A group of Republican, Democrat and Progressive legislators attended the press conference and spoke. Set to be introduced Wednesday afternoon was bill H. 719.
